Caramia

Lerro

A Woman full of Love, Compassion, and Caring to whom few could compare

If you are on this webpage, you found Caramia Lerro’s memorial I placed in Tuscany, Italy. I created this page in hopes that whomever found it could know something about her, and continue to let the memorial remain.

Caramia had a few surnames names, the last being mine, but she was and always will be Caramia Lerro.

She was born in Pennsylvania, USA in 1963. I might be a bit bias, but I would say that was the day a human angel was placed on this earth. I did not know her during her childhood, or as an adult up unto the year 2000. Although I did not know her then, I found no one that had anything but good to say about her. Kind, loving, caring were descriptions that always topped the list.

When I first met her, she was running a volunteer horse riding program for young adults and children with Downs Syndrome. The pleasure she was able to give those individuals was not measurable. The only scale you had to use was the smiles on their faces. I considered myself lucky to be able to hang around and watch.

At that same time, she was caring for a homeless man named Dave she had befriended at a McDonalds restaurant. She cared for him as time went on, taking time to go search for him until she found him. Fast forward a couple of years, while serving food at a homeless shelter, she met a private investigator his family had hired, and was able to connect Dave with his family. I, by virtue of being her husband, was able to witness these blessings happen in real time.

For the last 25 years, I was able to watch her caring and giving continue. It didn’t matter if it was a person or an animal, she cared for it, and always tried to make the situation better. She was just so full of love in her heart for all.

To Caramia:

Your situation in life changed, and you were not able to make the journey to the place you always wanted to visit. There was never any doubt as to the fact you wanted to visit here. I brought you to this place that you always desired, as a way of showing you how much I love you. Being near to you and watching how you lived and loved made me a better man. I will always miss you, but will know you are admiring the sunflower fields and beautiful countryside. Although you will be here, I know you will also be with the family and me forever, and someday I will be with you again. I love you.
